Do you have any idea for a complex exercise that touches and covers most important and major concepts of .NET? (so I can learn while coding and implementation)
The exercise should NOT be for beginners, but for someone who already familiar with .net, but...

I'm sure I'm not the only one w/this dilemma at least I hope not. I've never been a big exercise person, but I walk everywhere because I don't drive, and I TRIED to go to the gym before I became pregnant. My problem is that I just don't feel like exercising...

When you are learning a new language, what is your favorite first (or close to first) exercise that you do to get the hang of it? And why?
EDIT: Preferably looking for things that are more complicated that 'Hello World'.

Using the outputs of the previous exercise file, write a GUI program that reconstitutes storage functionality as....
Last but not least, I used it as an exercise for learning the results to a file.
Into .Net, I rewrote the thing again in C#.

I'm wondering if there's any good exercise to test and improve one's ability to code? I'm think specifically about program logic and being able to write good OOP code.
I thought about writing a simple HTML parser, but it seems that's more of a challenge...

Why "exercise" when you can just do the real thing? Anyone can code, maintainability and OO design then there is no better exercise than just making something it better then you've got a good exercise....

I sit in an office chair all day long. I try to keep good posture, but I find myself in any number of bad positions throughout the day.

This isn't an exercise, but one posture test I've heard on those exercise balls.
