I know this gets asked all the time, but I never really paid attention. To be fair, I wasn't really planning on changing my name anytime soon. Last time I changed my name, it was back when they just stamped the amendment in the back of your passport! ...

Married and did a name change, I just took along my old passport (and visa) when I came to India again here as long as you have your old passport handy (where the name matches the valid visa).

My passport expires Aug 21 of this year. I am looking at visiting 2 countries in the month of February, both which have the 6 months passport validity requirement (cut off date being Feb 21).

As I understand it for OCI they put a sticker in your British passport.....
Your old expired UK passport (with the life long visa stamp), the new valid UK passport and OCI booklet, rather than a 5 yr visa.

AFAIK, a 2nd US passport is noticeably different than a regular one. In that case, Lebanese officials will demand to see the 1st passport,since in the MIdeast the only real reason for a 2nd passport is to facilitate a visit to Israel .
