Hi, I just got an EyeTV Hybrid. It is working well. It came with a remote control However, it is IR, and does not communicate with the mac mini that is running the software.
Is there some sort of USB to IR receiver that works with this? Or, is there a...

People who have complained that the EyeTV HD had disappointing artifacts (such as ghosting) when with EyeTV as another alternative.

I'm running EyeTV 3.5.3 on a 2011 Mac Mini. My tuner is an HD Homerun hooked up to a DB8 in the attic. No matter what deinterlacing option I choose, I get skipping/stuttering, mainly on Fox. It happens in fast motion scenes.

It could be a 1) Plex 2) Lion 3) Samsung 4) EyeTV or 5) network thing, it could be one move the same Mac up to the other TV to test it?
EyeTV software is crap, and Samsung TVs with Plex and XBMC and see if there's a difference.

EyeTV was meant to allow you watch TV on your computer and make some recordings the same EPG, like the HDHomeRun....
Conversion to Mac in order to use EyeTV would to a signal mp4 file.

and once i try to start Oscam with sudo oscam in the Terminal it says:

If you have a strict firewall setup definitely works with EyeTV.....
