Are you tongueing those highest notes? Sometimes just a bit of tongue gives a burst of air which gets the note started more easily .

The fault occurs when the gear box changes down in cruise, it then faults with" faulty speed control" then followed by "faulty gearbox" resets after switch off and no problems for weeks.
Don't think it's the brake switch as this was replaced a month ago...
