Subject says it all. I remember that Fusion for Mac has a new file extention and I can't remember if it will save to a format that regular Inventor will open.
Yes, I know I could look, but I use a Mac at home and regular Inventor at work. I keep forgetting...

Is F3D to be the default Inventor Fusion file for the preview is F3D.....
The new extension to use a different file extension for the Mac version.
Inventor will be able to open Fusion files in a future update.

Dwg Files in Autodesk Inventor Professional

When I open my 3D AutoCad .dwg file in Inventor Professional, Most of the tools are not active anymore/ "3D Model" tab does disappear and practically I am not able to edit my 3D object!

Click on the file to open and before opening click Options
select Import and go through the wizardI have never seen this behavior before.

Type “Regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\bin\DTxRegister.dll” in command line and enter.
Run cmd.
The command to force the re-registration of the Inventor shell extensions.

Hello,
I make a plate (surfaces, zero thickness) part (ipt) in Autodesk Inventor 2011.
Then I open it in Autodesk Algor Simulation 2010.
In Algor I mesh, than I add:
- thickness
- nodal boundary conditons
- material
It all works perfect.

So tried to open a 11mb SLDASM file in Inventor and it just hung after a few mins without fully to ask the client which sldasm is the master assembly and Inventor will also open all sub-assemblies.
