..what are the standards/requirements for safety film?
The regs say: "All vehicles under 250 MPH shall have SAFETY film on BOTH SIDES of all non-laminated safety glass windows"...but what standards/requirements (AS or other) need to be met?

Architectural/house 'window film' on both! thanks for that Dave, yep I agree the safety film is a good idea - I've had to sweep up 'motorsport.
Enough 'grip' to prevent some glass diamonds coming loose.

I will also get a better squeege as i found an ice/mist window type general one isnt the sticky side of the film as you peel the backing off, it helps prevent the film sticking together spray the sticky side....

Despite several cleanings in the rear ....
I had the same film on the inside of the windshield and back window.
I had never it.
It took at least 5 cleanings to get the film off both sides of the window.
With brand new wipers.

Am looking for a way when I move home to CHEAPLY and as easily as possible give the windows more insulation in the winter as if the new home is not double glazed but I still love it I wouldn't mind just sticking some of that insulating film up at all ...

Its may stop a very small leak and draught but it will keep your rooms draught free .
Sorry it wont work as insulation.
Put the film upcling film on glass..
I used to get a graught that felt more like a window was slightly open.

Little water is ok.

I live in Houston Tx, alot.
I've been told that tint should not be place on the inside of a double pane window.
Pane windows that have some type of tint on the inside window pane fog between glass.
