I used MS Money for around 12 years just a glorified checkbook (like Quicken and Money), but more of a convenient way to aggregate all to know how much money....
I personally like Mint .

My son had a full sports scholarship covering his tuition, food and board, but he still needed some pockey money and we had.
Changed in the last 12 months, there is no money put aside for students in the US.
