Speaking to a number of quants / hedgies, i came to the conclusion that a large number of them seem to be using their a homebrew or caml (for the most part). what many of them couldnt answer was why.

Link cannot just make up a date of default....
How long had you not paid / acknowledged the debt with Abbey prior to Link contacting you ?
A default marker would have needed to be placed on your file from the date you missed any contractual payment with Abbey .

Anyone know if a CLI request with Elan Financial Services is a hard or soft pull? On the site it just says you will recieve our decision in the mail in 7-10 business days. Sounds like hard pull to me so I did not do it. Anyone know for sure?
