Like vote said the community gamertag doesn't have to be online 24/7.
For the purpose of this community gamertag then yes people shouldn't have their Online Status set to anything could think it is I have no clue.

How did you find out the first part of ....
Communicate with them to find out what the gamertag is because it's going to be difficult finding out their gamertag by guessing numbers, it could be one of many combinations.

They was releasing old Gamertag(s) last year, until is that they stop releasing them.
The old GT's are trashed and never used again.

Hi my borthers gamertag is currently Sneaky Wolf78 and he wants to change it to Wolf cF.
The problem is the system is saying that it is already in use when no other xbox live member has that account and no zune member has that name either.

"This gamertag is in use" doesnt mean a gamertag is "already in use" it means that the tag, or some form of the tag, is taken across any as "Brigadier Bac0n" as the same as "bRiGaDierBaC....
Or find another variation that would be suitable.

My current gamertag is "Taffy hustlin" now since I got my account compromised on april 30th. The person who compromised/hacked my account changed my gamertag and I am not getting any help getting my old gt back.I find this is really sad how he get's away...
