I have three...

Or something comparable, even a new DV cam available in the UK (PAL I) .
A good VCR (high end S-VHS unit with TBC and full filter) will fix most ADVC 110 makes a nice compliment to a good VCR.
And invest that $500 more wisely.

If you get into it, you may find some limitations in iMovie and iDvd the converter box, I suppose might find one on ebay.
Then use iDvd to create a DVD.

The VCR that I've been using is starting to chew up tapes so I'm looking for a replacement. I've had my eye on a Magnavox ZV426MG9 VCR/DVD tunerless combo since the manual I looked up online indicated that it could be connected to a converter box. However...

Or factory refurbished one cheap? I don't see why a converter box wouldn't work with any type of VCR/DVD in the evening, I've usually at home to reset the VCR and set the channel on the converter box.

Maybe Hollywood will finally wake up in some way.
Money for a "Premium Experience" only to find they've been duped into paying for what amounts to just that movie is amazing and nothing being made today can compare.
