We have a new home that has a "direct vent" gas fireplace in the family room. The direct vent goes
. Blankets in front bottom, not much help. We have even shut off the gas line, not using the fireplace
What brand is the fireplace?
I've dealt with a few different brands- but they all operate

Into the above thread, which implies that, in general there's a problem with using gas fireplace
natural gas fireplace (Z30DVT-NG), controlled by a programmable thermostat (Maple chase M9600). Both

I've been in my house for 2.5 years and fired up the ventless gas fireplace in our living room
at 60 and using the gas fireplace most of the day. It does not shut off, so I guess I would warm
poisoning due to the unvented gas fireplace installed in the house.

I have a barely used 25KBTU Gas Technologies,Inc.(OOB?) that I am installing in a masonry hearth
gas valve#711-716-443 millivolt...and I plan on reducing the main burner orifice from 36 to 52,and
I will ever know but they will probably tell you that it is never a good idea to alter a gas fireplace

We are building a custom home, and are at the point of picking fireplaces. We walked
into a showroom to get some idea of the different fireplaces and came out with a list of a couple we liked. Turns...
parts. The only outfit that I'd trust in that respect is Heatilator.

I am thinking about a fireplace for a retirement house but would like to know if there are any
traditional brick style built-in fireplace that incorporate high efficiency designs with high exchangers
covered with brick which also extended out under and in fron of the gas stove.RSF Energy
