I love fireplaces I haven't used mine in 5 years. Seriously, seemed like too much trouble cleaning up. Now I bought some of those cheap ass prefabricated logs and some wood (mostly for smell and crackles and pops)... and been burning it every evening ...

We're hoping to brianstorm a list of cozy restaurants in Baltimore that have fireplaces for cold winter date nights! Doesn't have to be upscale (although they can be).

I will play....let's start with 2 very different places The first floor of the Diz in Remington for good bar food and beers & The Milton Inn where the food may not always get rave reviews but that room is hard to beat with the fireplace for date....

Has anyone investigated if it is possible or allowed to install stove fireplaces in the duplex appartments in Charlesland? I am not really feeling the love from my gas fire.

Hi,
I’ve got a Jotul F3 lined up and I’ve painstakingly measured my existing fireplace (brand new masonry) and if I push the stove all the way to the back of the fireplace the whole stove will sit just inside the face of the fireplace, maybe 1” inside...

Englander confirmed that the all brick firebox was indeed considered non-combustible and the clearances were a moot point... .
I had the same doubts when planning for installing an Englander 13 completely in the firebox .
Might want to contact Jotul directly.

We ended up deciding on the Jotul Sebago and ... .
This is what we have instead, a Procom VF Lowes special: That Lopi Berkshire is a beautiful stove, it was our first choice while looking for something to replace our VC Defiant Encore wood stove last year .
