As of January 1st, 2012 Maine now allows for the sale and use of consumer fireworks.
A new store opened up just 4 miles down the road from me but the prices are just insane: $9.99 for a pack of 4 roman candles, $4.99 for a single 25 shot saturn missle...

Fireworks are considered hazardous materials so shipping it is NOT cheap and usually there was more to it than that.

One store I was in (Jab's in Dillon, South Carolina) had four videos running simultaneously in four sections of the store section of the store.

Know fireworks is what you'll find in that store and way overpriced on their own label.
