Sometimes the male will bring in more fish than....
In the Spring, in order to attract a mate, the males will catch fish to feed to the female as a prelude to mating.
This is a male european/eurasian kingfisher - dark lower mandible.

Rye Meads Kingfisher Considering the size of the crop, I'm sorta happy with this shot.

The cost of the tours can be quite hefty.
