Hi, we have an 18 month old Samsung microwave. It's probably used on average once a day. It always smells of food (curry etc.), no matter how long since its last use. Every week I thoroughly clean the inside and take out and wash the glass turntable but...

I find it helps contain the smell as well as keeping the microwaveFill an egg cup half vinegar half water and let it boil it nearly dry, the smell will be gone squeeze the juice from a lemon into a bowl of water....
I use something like this.

About 18 months ago I ran her bin into the commercial bin outside, but you could still smell it, and now the smell was outside into a little trouble....
Fish is pretty much the worst smell ive smelled in the office.
