So, today I got a letter informing me I was speeding in November last year, and have been caught, and issued a court summons for June.
I admit, I do recall the incident as is recorded in the evidence of going 36mph in a 30 zone.
However, I have been asked...

I was never offered a fixed penalty to pay, I'd have remembered it, and indeed of both ....
Now the second part of that sticks in my craw .
It for a) the offence, and b) failure to acknowledge who was driving/pay fixed penalty.

Thank though your job is quite....
In the circumstances I think accepting the fixed penalty is your best option.
A fixed penalty is the best offer you will get in these circumstances, you would be wise to accept for 60 in a 40.

Hi
A friend of mine was stopped by a Policewoman for allegedly looking at his phone while driving.
She issued the ticket (see images of front and back) but forgot to sign it.

But as far as the notice....
Taking it to court won't impact the number of penalty points but the fine will be more if convicted.
The fixed penalty can either be accepted or taken to court.
But that will make it harder to defend.

To be honest I doubt they'll drop the fixed penalty on the basis of your letter a short ban)
The fixed penalty route is essentially a payment and endorsement not to prosecute.

As you seem to admit speeding, I'd take the fixed penalty, its the cheapest option in tersm of both points the fixed penalty is the way to go.
