My question is, if I get a free puppy, why would I want kitten food? You can give the food that the poster referred to the "free puppy", but it was actually for puppy food and kitten food.

Is it fine to feed my kitten human food? He eats cheese puffs, chips, cake, whipped cream, fish...basically anything that is edible he will eat, but I'm wondering, is it bad for his health?

You mean Purina Kitten Chow or a general term for dry food? Wet food is best, but if you need:
Kitten Chow --> Blue Spa Kitten --> Blue Wilderness Kitten

I have been feeding my two 8 week old kittens on Whiskas wet and dry kitten food but I have been informed that this is 'junk' food and is not very good for the kittens as it is low in meat content.

Normally, kitten food is higher in meat in comparison to adult food what it will help.
Don't need a kitten food.

You can keep them on a kitten food for up to a year, so I'm confused why you want to switch to adult now.

Well I think the subject pretty much asks the question, but I've heard that it's not good to feed kittens a variety of foods or they get fussy. My vet also suggested that feeding a variety of brands would give them tummy upset.
I know there is a risk ...

There's really no reason a kitten can't have adult food - just a marketing ploy imo - but I would try and find something better than just turned her nose up, she is a nightmare....

A wet poo always stinks more than a normal poo introduce them to wet food.
But if you say its that bad i wouldnt think its the food.
