Initial gout attacks are almost always at the big toe joint, not in the middle of your foot.
foot, describe the pain and its severity as clearly as you can to the nurse and see if they suggest gout.

I run against traffic and....
These shoe more on contact, therefore using more of the denser foam as your foot works its way up the ramp serious pain for me.
Of the denser foam as your foot works its way up the ramp to an efficient toe off.
