You could do the same thing with a plate heat exchanger or side arm heater if you wanted.
I would not go more.
One zone for 1400 sqaure foot ranch is not unreasonable.

I realized the heat radiating towards the back at the elbow had to be the problem.

Also remember to calculate if UFH is enough....
If your thinking of using a heat source like a back boiler this will need a heat dump as the UFH can't be above a certain temperature.
From the boiler as well as another pump for the main system .
