I tried to mock up my wheels on my axle and i quickly discovered that my '35 ford wire wheels will not fit over the drums on my 1986 Ford 1/2 ton pickup rear axle. I am sure guys have done this before. What brakes and backing plates will work in my situation...

Seems like everything is hard to get to.

I have not weighed the 7.5 but I do know that the 6.75 weigh's in at 125#'s and the 8" weigh's 143#'s The most obvious difference is that you can change gear ratios on the 8 inch by just changing the center section .
