I was cleaning up the shop this morning and moving a Macargi bikes stock front fork that was replaced and bumped it against the bench and heard a strange noise... I was baffled as to what it was for about 2 seconds until I felt the vibration in my hand...

Try it with an old school high quality chromoly steel or Tange fork off a vintage Bridgestone, Specialized or Diamond Back when they were made by Centurion.
Yup, same principle as a tuning fork.

The Titus tuning fork watches appear to be Omega's.
Citizen had their own version of the 218, also.

Do I have an example of that? Is it recent and does it fit this 'Big Ass'n Tuning Fork fork I still have by the desk and just whacked on the carpet again while I type this, a few times a full minute if I whacked it harder....

You may be on to something here. If the barrel oscillates vertically, the observed vertical stringing could be caused by the pellet exiting the barrel while it is in different vertical positions and with different vertical velocities. I think I remember...

Early on I had suspected that the barrel(s) were vibrating or oscillating to cause... .
It cut the vertical strings down greatly, but they were still there if you really examined the groups .
At one point I did try a barrel band on one of the configurations .

On Mon, 10 Indeed.
Use unbuffered CMOS gates* circuit where i can plug in a tuning fork crystal or a standard (say 2-10Mhz) crystal.
This circuit works.
Those tuning fork watch crystals need very low drive.
Just arrived and i love them been looking for a nice set of rigid forks and i found these wasn't sure always wanted a set of Pace RC30's but these Pashley / USE forks are beautiful and now i want to see what other members have ??
