Why can't I see the Forum Jump feature?
I hunted around to figure out if there was an option that I had changed or if this was covered in the FAQ. Why can't I see the "Forum Jump" feature at the bottom of each page anymore?

Jumping X Pixels High?
For my old Pocket Mario engine, I basically did it as a piecewise function. For x1 event loops, Mario moves up by y1 pixels each loop, then for the next x2 event loops, Mario moves up by y2 pixels each loop, and so forth, so that it approximates a parabola and reaches exactly a certain number of pixels high.

Jump Smashing?
Thanks you guys, that was exactly what I needed to know. I think I'll spend my next few practice sessions fine tuning my ground-based smash.

What happened to jump up?
I'm not really into jumpup, but I suggest you check out Locked n Erbalist. Two very talented producers who probably make what you're looking for.

Anyone jumped from Canon to Nikon?
Has any Canon shooter here jumped ship to get the D700? I'm sooo tempted to do so as it looks awesome and I don't really have that much invested in Canon lenses yet. However, I suppose it makes sense to see what Canon comes up with with a 5D successor. I'm not sure why Canon are being so secretive about it since it seems clear they must be losing people to Nikon. It's been nearly 3 years since the 5D so it must be very close to a new version. I'd have thought they'd announce something just to dampen people's enthusiasm for the D700 even if they don't intend to release it for a few months. Perhaps they haven't even been working on a 5D successor after all - now that would be really funny .
