Hi,
Looking at possibility of getting a mk1 Leon TDI. Been looking around at seen FRs and CUPRAs. Please bear with me if this has been covered elsewhere, but have been trawling the web to find decent info and can't find a decent definitive answer!

Hence my confusion! They are the same 150 engine as the FR.
The FR is only a TDi and the Cupra's are petrol the Cupra R I think we're the ones that came in TDI form.

Going out of town that day! Congrats! Got mine yesterday too - it was a good day for FR-S fans named wait to get another FR-S and I only had transportation via the free loaner they gave me until the FR and this community down.

Earlier FR models (MY2010/2011) will only have Xenons if the owner specified them as an option.
FR+ (MY2012) is the only one that has all the kit you want on it as standard and came out late 2011.

At least the FR-S seems to....
People will wreck the FR-S but not as badly as that other.
At least the FR-S seems to give some warning/leeway as you linearly approach its limits.
Slightest mistake though with little to no forgiveness.

A lot of cost cutting tbh To spec it up like the old FR, it's like £17,000! diluting the FR badge, I'm glad I have pre-facelift because it means people will know you have to have at least a 2litre tdi or 1.4 tsi.
