I am currently using Google Docs exclusively, and it's a decent piece of software and particularly strong on collaboration feature. But it would be interesting to see Microsoft offers its office suite online .

It is cross-platform as well.

As many of you might know Microsoft office (2003 at least) does not support exporting pdf's nativity, What good software is there out there that can easily export a word document into a pdf format.

We currently generate reports in MS Excel format. Our client just called to ask if we could generate those reports in OpenOffice format instead.
Their reason is that their entire office is being purged of Microsoft Office, as their license has expired...

Problems with the files, they can always get a free viewer app from Microsoft (if all they want to do - a hex viewer, an image viewer, or even Open Office.

I am looking for a good solution to collaborate on Microsoft Office documents, we currently just edit directly on a Samba share but it's one big mess because sometimes people leave the office with their laptops while docs are open so swap files remain...

WSS (Windows SharePoint Services) is free with Office (Word,Excel,Powerpoint) for web collaboration yet.
