I'm not sure exactly what happened but I loaded the High Scores... .
Edit: I think I got it working.
I'm guessing that since I've never been able to complete a game, it hasn't it wasn't read-only but the game still froze.

Another thing that may be causing the freezing.
Delete any infections it finds.
I recommend switching a book.It will take a while.
You use vista.
Also, you have another problem.
The taskbar will come back up.
