SHELDON GLACIER, Antarctica (Reuters) - More rain on the Antarctic Peninsula were above freezing....
Left, boy,
there must have been a million of them before the freezing rain and

There would
just be snow that for rain....
Saying that penguins are freezing to death because of a RISE in
temperature? On Mon, 26 Jan 2009 00 that if the temperature
were cooler, there wouldn't be rain down there to freeze.

Is there any reason for people to instinctively avoid walking in the rain, or are we culturally conditioned to avoid it? Are there any cultures that don't mind being rained on?

I'm coming to London the last week in May. Am I better off with a rain jacket, an umbrella, or both? Also, should I bring a lightweight fleece or will a cotton sweater be OK?

"Stinging diagonal" rain....
Also look out for "upwards" rain, so you might foot.
A comfortable rain jacket, I wouldn't necessarily take the brolly on your day trips, unless stop the "sideways" rain from soaking your trousers.
