Not sure if this has been covered in other threads, but thought I would share it just in case.
A good way to keep stored water fresh is to pipe one or more water heaters (tanks) together from the supply line to the working water heater ...

I am curious about something : how does salt water use affect a boat versus a fresh water boat ? Will a 20 year old salt water boat be much "older" than a 20 year old fresh water ? What would be affected the most on the boat ?

But all other things being equal, especially involving metal and engines, salt water ....
A well maintained salt water boat will probably be in better shape than a poorly maintained fresh water boat.

I have been watering my garden (mostly in pots) using tank water. The hens think that this water is for them, rushing around to scoop anything left sitting on top of a pot. This is after I have changed their drinking water.
I assume tank water isn't good...
