Water service pipe renewal. I have two water engineering companies quoting to replace my mum's service pipe for mains water. One insists that digging a trench is the right way to do it, the other says that it makes no difference and will use a "mole"....

Water Pipe Its important to make sharp stones etc laying on the pipe, which could damage it.
The terms of making good the work are clearly defined before commencement .

If I were smooth pipe like i'm using vrs field tile and the amount of water it will carry.
So, you can push more water through the pipe without cause suck holes.
