I used one on the front of mine front xj shaft lengthened ....
My front shaft is 35" long to need 37.5" The 96/98 4.0 242 is about an inch longer than the xj.
I'm dealing with the same issue right now..
One and having it lenghtened..

WTB- OE Upcountry Springs for a 98 ZJ. Needs to come from one with the Tow package or a 5.9l. (GN code front(JJ rear).
Looking for mild lift with good spring rates. If you have a BB kit I can do that too.. Also looking for skid plates.
