Why is it recommended to have a 1:1 ratio of Front-side Bus and DRAM? Does it really affect the performance of the CPU?

First drill out the dimples, don't go too far, you do not want to get into the barrel.

What surplus FSB & gas block will fit a saiga barrel? Is it just press off, press on or is there cutting/reshaping involved? The easiest way possible is always good for me. 223 cal Saiga that is.

If your Saiga's existing FSB/GB .223s are press-punched in place, ....
FSB & GB will require you to drill and pin to secure to the barrel.
If it measures anything larger, you're out of luck.
Behind the FSB in order for these to work.

Hey, I was talking about things that matter to performance with a friend, and he mentioned something I either wasn't aware of, or wasn't sure of. Is Front Side Bus the most important factor to computing performance? Or perhaps a better question would ...

There isn't an FSB on AMD or Intel based machines anymore.
While it is true that in days gone by the FSB.
Even more so in gaming), especially above DDR3-1600.

This is for people like me with only basic hand tools and power tools.. no presses/vices..etc also people who dont like the idea of buying 70$ in FSB and muzzle (even though i got a whole kit and sold the etxras) and dont like the idea of beating it on...

Youll know when you pass through the FSB it will catch the bit for a second when it breaks....
I was about to send one away to get a damaged FSB replaced, but maybe I will try..Id use a fairly big size bit, bigger than youd think...

This is my problem, each time I try to get 1600mhz on my FSB and RAM sync I can hear my PC boot but the display turn black like no connection to the screen. Need to reset CMOS to get it back.
Specs.
EVGA 790i FTW digital
Intel Q6700
OCZ platinium DDR3...

Even if I turn down multiplier I cant get my FSB 1600Mhz You can try a little on the CPU to get my FSB @1600....

Up for sale is a package of:
1) Whiteline FSB: 22mm adjustable. Part# BSF30z.
2) Whiteline RSB: 20mm adjustable. Part# BSR39z.
3) AVO (I think) reinforced RSB mounts.
All parts have somewhere around 25-30k miles.
Some paint flaking/surface rusting, mostly...
