Your 5 cents please I can only speak for the Safari snorkel as that's what I have but I would say that any performance or economy gains are negligible, if they exist at all.

The Focus wouldn't be a true FFV vehicle.
Performance is going to be biased since I am installing my intake states that higher octane will provide improved performance.
Mileage/performance differences.

The common issue is with not altering timing and seeing no gain .
Oh really
please ignore this comment, if you use a premium fuel you should be able to advance timing a little, this will return more performance.
Than anything else.
