Firstly, since the start, this site has been completely free & non-profit (currently all the team are volunteers and we pay any costs that come up), and we intend to keep it that way so that we can continue to reach and encourage as many people as possible...

I've got this going over at Freemly and thought I'd ask over here as well.
My sister is looking at doing a charity ball next year (She's done quite a few in the past) to raise money for cancer research and our local hospice...

I don't know if it's just in my area but has anyone else seen an increase in this? It riles me beyond belief. We have frequently had this recently from one charity or another since last year. I've actually found them more hard sell than door to door salesmen...

I've been involved with several non-profits who put on events. Weeknights may be best if you are appealing to a business/corporate audience. For a wider audience, Saturday night has the biggest potential, though possibly more competition.
