If the person has a disease in which it makes them fat, it isn't funny either.
Are trying to tell a fat joke to a fat person, it isn't funny to them, unless they're comfortable with that.

Is there a way to classify a particular sentence/paragraph as funny. There are very few pointers as to where one should go further on this.

To look through thousands of funny sentences/stories, rate them, and then build some sort of expert system/neural network out of it.

On Kongregate we use one robots.txt for the main site , which isn't really very funny at all, and another one for subdomains , which is pretty funny.
