I find that the main gain is the tooling, being able to set once you get use to it, it's really not such....
I would say that the productivity gains by using C# to be able to develop solutions faster.
An actual study, just my own experience.
Given a typical developer usage, I am wondering how much gains/utility can one derive out of a multi-touch Win7 Laptop or a Surface device. If people have experiences to share or if there were some studies on this please share

One key thing to remember is that whenever an experienced person has to take his hands off the keyboard (for whatever reason), it slows him/her down ... .
You ask specifically about developers, so the results would differ markedly from a general user base .

I've used Photoshop for quite a while and often hear that providing it with a scratch disk will help with performance. Most computers come with tons of RAM and hard drive space so does a scratch disk still provide any performance gains in today's computers...

I remember when it used to be very useful, typically when the files people were editing were the size of half their memory (or more) but now the memory has become more and more and the photos haven't become that much bigger, I see it as less and less ... .
I have just moved from phase 1 to phase 2 of a project. In this transition we got rid of all of the XML configuration for spring and struts2, switching to a fully annotated regime. All of the participants are amazed at the actual effect this has on development...

Before you had to look at a separate....
I think its because the configuration information is in the same place with the code .
I don't have productivity figures like you but I have seen significant improvement when moving from xml configurations to annotations .

The problem with the capital gains tax of their money via capital gains (like....
In other words, the incentive created by the capital gains tax is not doing enough to encourage people to invest.
Of capital is sitting on the sidelines.
I've heard that pumping can give you really great flaccid gains. Has anyone achieved this? Are the gains permanent?

Multis, Your post is "miss leading" and not factual.
I have paid capital gains tax. On TV a couple of people have said that tax on capital gains is double taxation. I see no reason why someone would say that. I await enlightenment.
