I have home movies that I want to play on my Tivo. However, they are stored on a 250B SimpleShare network attached storage drive.
Is it possible to get this drive to work with Tivo so I can view the home movies on my Tivo Series 3 HD?

If I wanted to use XBMC on my laptop, and I want to be able to view some media on my Tivo through the network IP config linking up to my laptop over the air (wireless), what should I do?

The laptop should then show up in 'now playing'.
So you want to use the TiVo to view content stored on the laptop? The only way I know is to install TiVo Desktop on the laptop and add the relevant folder to the 'library'.

I'm loving my new TiVo, it's a really great product. I'm a little bit confused on the home networking side of TiVo though. From what I can gather, you need the Home networking kit and the Media Access Key to be able to get any networking functions working...

Just installed a new Tivo Elite and am having two problems. Shows are not archiving and when I look at the ReadyNAS for archived files I only see three directories, not the 12 that are there.

Does the TiVo icon show up in your PC task bar? If so, check to see if it has....
My Tivo sees it
(I say this as someone who was NEVER able to get Galleon to do ANYTHING other than, but once I restart the server things work normally.
