I have a final fantasy 7 game going on my PCSXBox and am going on a cruise, which we are driving to. i wanted to be able to continue my ff7 game on my psp. i dont think the saves are the same for each but i dont really know. has anyone ever heard of this...

There is a tool called memcardrex that let's you change game.
saves by just clicking on your current xbox game save file(.mcd) and convert it to the psp game saveThis is possible, and its very easy.

The PS3 will convert saves in the PS3 and copy to the PSP - you will have a list of the save folders, select the one psp....
To the PSP - you will have a list of the save folders, select the one for the game.

If you don't....
The PSP saves.
If it's UMD, you'll have no problems whatsoever.
If it's digital, you won't be able to use any of your downloaded content on your PSP when you change accounts, so you're better off using your old PSN.

Most modern games....
An MP3 is roughly (at CD quality) 1 MB per minute .
If you're using it soley for game KB, as generally are older or simple save data.
In short, you can probably stuff a couple games and their saves on it.
