Opinions on growing veggies in the front yard?
I have tomatoes, peppers, lettuce & herbs in pots in the front yard intermixed with pots of flowers.
My lawn died when my sprinkler system died, and I've had nothing but weeds ever since.
IMO, the veggies...

Yards in general are a huge waste of water seen people do "water wise" yards that balance low water needs with plants and rock.
Other than that, I think it is a great use of space .
For a yard.

The plants that aren't getting enough water or sun but probably they just take longer to start sprouting... .
Then keep ground wet till they pop-out..
Corn and beans soak the seed about 8 hours before you plant,. .
Keep the ground wet where seeds haven't shown..
