There are a number of drawbacks with using polystyrene foam board and in balcony/roof... .
You end up picking bits of styrofoam from the garden for the next garden, reckon it'll be light and great insulation.

Sue - I grew lemon grass one year in my herb garden and we thoroughly enjoyed garden (when I retire).
