I'm loading horse genealogical data recursively. For some wrong sets of data my recursion never stops... and that is because in the data there are cycles.
How can I detect those cycles to stop recursing?
I thougth of while recursing mantain a hashTable...

Otherwise, push the child onto....
If you find a match, then you've discovered a loop and should skip that child .
Every time you advance down the tree, scan the stack for the child element .
Maintain a stack of all elements leading up to the root of the tree .

I've only recently took up the family tree search hobby but its certainly addictive I just tried that site fo my mothers marriage name and no sensus records... .
I've recently joined FindMyPast but only the foundation membership which should do me for now .

I subscribe to Ancestry.com but would also like to have another type of family tree software that I can use. I currently use PAF (Personal Ancestry File) but am not a big fan of it.
Any suggestions?

This could mean either someone who makes/repairs/coats items of tin, or a tin miner ... .
Thats definitely a 'T' in front since its used a few lines above for 'Telegraph operator' Tinner .
It does look like 'Tinner' which is someone who works in mining Tin .

I have a question about the geneology found in Matthew. When reading through it last night and looking at it closer for the first time, I noticed that there some to be some names missing in verses 7-11 and apparently it doesn't add it up to the "fourteen...
