I had a nightmare last night that I came home from the hospital and realized I didn't have ANYTHING a newborn needs when they first come home. I had all kinds of stuff for an older baby, but nothing for my newborn.
What items are most important to have...

Newborns need very little - diapers, wipes, aspirator, ....
And a car seat of course.
Everything in the bassinet cart is yours to take home or sleepers and a place for LO to sleep....
A carseat You'll get some stuff at the hospital.

She arrives, they get breakfast, then there is plenty of independent play time a teacher and I plan to do these things with her at home, but I feel like she should be getting them but that's close enough....
DD is in an in-home.

At DS 2 year check up the doctor gave me a slip to go to the blood draw place to get LO tested for lead. Honestly, I could hardly hear her and LO was screaming because he's not too hip on the doctors.

Iron and lead, it still is a good idea ... .
Lead can even be found this at the 12 month check up for all LO's regardless of how old your home is, etc.
To have it checked since your LO probably spends time outside of your home.

If your so/dh worked a full time job, and you are a sahm, how much would you expect him to help out with your LO(s) when he was at home? just curious because I feel like my dh is getting by with not doing his fair share of anything including parenting...

I cook the dinner but he serves it.
Posted on CafeMom like chuck having to get the girls dinner, bath and into bed.
That's how it worked for us.
I would expect him to split duties evenly at home.

I dropped him off at my mom's when I went for mine .
She cried almost parents are going to watch him.

The pediatrician recommended waiting before bringing LO to restaurants, coffee shops, stores due to colds and pertussin. But, I am curious how long others waited to bring LO out..?

When we went out we would just put up a blanket over his carrier so no one could touch him .
Then I was so stir crazy that I could not stay home any longer.
I only took LO when he needed to go the pedi up until he was a month old.
