All new 11" netbooks seem to carry 1.33 GHz Atom Z520 CPU instead of 1.6/1.66 GHz Atom N270/N280. The screen resolution of 11" netbooks make them very appealing, but I'm a bit concerned about their performance as they carry a slower CPU than the 1.6GHz...

720p Runs just fine....
I Currenly have a Dell Mini 10 with the 1.33 Atom and GMA500 Graphics .
Haven't tried a 1.33GHz yet, so I can't make comparisons, but I can tell you that a 1.6 Atom can decode 720p, but barely, and for some videos you'll need CoreAVC .

Is there much advantage in getting the higher end Macbook Pro compared to the mid-range one?
The differences between the two are:
2.66 GHz vs. 2.8 GHz 256 MB graphics memory vs. 512 MB 3 MB L2 cache vs. 6 MB 320 GB hard drive vs. 500 GB $2000 vs. $230...

Probably the least useful of the upgrades....
The other components will also help too.
Probably the biggest difference you'll notice is the 6MB of L2 Cache - that should make a massive difference .
For $300, it doesn't sound like you're getting too bad of a deal .

There are 2 or Sonnet dual 1.8 ghz?? The Sonnet dual 1.8GHz will still be faster then a overclocked Dual 1.42ghz.

Other than benchmarks would I notice the difference between 4,7Ghz and 5 Ghz. The reason I ask is that my chip can do 5Ghz but it gets a bit hot and I would have to invest in better cooling.

I ran prime95 blend mode Since I killed my i7 8... .
I'm running an intel i5 2500k @ 4.2 Ghz and 1.25V.
The pros and cons of a clock near 5 Ghz I have decided to leave my clock at 4.5 GHz to keep my voltage is pretty relevant to this.

Hi every one.
I have a Late 2008 Macbook Pro 2.8 Ghz with 4GB of ram, and I'm trying to figure out what the max amount of ram I can install in this machine.
Some places say 6GB, Apple sells 8GB kits for it. I'm confused.

What does Crucial or Kingston say about the memory capacity of the computer?
The manufacturers manual is a snapshot in time, it... .
Take the confusion out of the issue.
It for sure supports 8gb of RAM if apple sells kits for it .
It supports up to 8gb ram.

If you have a spare licence, it may be worth taking... .
At the end of the day, Windows 7 works well but as with Vista, my advise to XP users would be that there is little benefit to upgrade, especially on older hardware.. .
I would personally stick with XP.

Is a Phenom 2 X6 2.8 ghz that much better than an Intel Core 2 duo 2.13 ghz? How much of a performance increase would I get from a AMD Phenom 2 X6 2.8 ghz processor compared to an Intel core 2 duo 2.13 ghz processor?

Depends on what you want to use the processor for but for gaming and just every day use, you will see a BIG difference in performance since the Six-core AMD processor is a machine up against a Intel core 2 duo! if we talk about dual core processor,i think... .
