I love homemade gifts this year to gift....
I knitted some scrubbies from hemp twine a few years back to go with some soap gifts.
Not everyone gets home made gifts! I buy cheap classless junk for everyone else.

What is the consensus on this? Is it rude to have a party and ask "no gifts please" or is it okay? (knowing it's never okay to assume a gift will be given?)

My sister's kids always choose a charity to think they were... .
The first time I didn't bring a gift and felt really awkward when people asked them to open the gifts so after that I always brought a gift.
Everyone brought gifts.
