Today I noticed that they sell a big CAN of Heinz Ketchup at the grocery store. It's over 2L of Ketchup and costs around $7.99 at my local Metro grocery store. I'm sure I can get it for less at a different store or at Costco.

Can I freeze store bought ketchup? My kids go through A LOT of ketchup so I decided to buy one of the large tins (2.84 L) since the price per unit is cheaper. Of course, I didn't think about how I would store it once it's open. So, has anyone here successfully...

I just bought 3 bottles of ketchup and each's 2Yes, just put the leftover ketchup into empty bottles and put it in the freezer.
And the the rest goes in a little container in the fridge.

If anything. I put it on lots of stuff. Hamburgers and hot dogs (I don't like mustard), chicken strips, fish sticks (a childhood thing), leftover meatloaf, sometimes french fries. I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any right now.

I use a little....
I like seafood cocktail sauce made wtih ketchup, tabasco, horseradish, worcestershire and a little lemon juice.
I like to have my ketchup on the side of my fries and just "dip" my fries into it.
Just French fries and meatloaf.

It would be easier to figure out if we could assume that the stuff in
the bottle is mixed up evenly, new stuff with old stuff. But, ketchup
doesn't act like that...
