I've got a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 (64 bit) and for some reason the Google search field in the Firefox toolbar always searches google.jp. Given that I'm in Australia and struggle to read Japanese this is somewhat less than useful to me. Does anyone...

There's nothing you can.
The toolbar and other devices like that are intended to protect users from unwanted handler, the toolbar (and other blockers) will assume that the popup is suspect.
A pop-up blocker.

I installed it from the "ARRSE toolbar" website, where! Didn't know there was a ....
Not aware it on the latest version of Firefox and it works fine .
I'm don't think the Arrse toolbar has been functional since earlier versions of FireFox.
