Thought i posted this, but i dont see it. I FINALLY got him served. after 4 months of hunting him down. turns out he has some woman pregnant and she found out he was still married.. well, she ended up helping me. ironic.

Assume you are running a pure-HTML website on Apache. Just serving static files, nothing dynamic, nothing fancy.
Also assume all passwords are safe, and no social-hacking (i.e. phishing attacks, etc...)

You will probably want the MIME type of both to be application/vnd.ms-excel
If you are serving these with your web server as regular files, then the relevant setting in Apache is the mime....
For them will need the correct MIME type.
