GPS or GPS Receiver? I have been wanting to get a gps for quite some time and was wondering what everyone thinks would be the best solution. Do people prefer a true stand alone gps or the 6700 and bt receiver? I'm not really that concerned with the price...

If youre just in the car you cant beat the 6700 and BT GPS if you ask me, esp with live google maps to how the in-dash or standalone GPSes get updated software or maps mostly becasue my BT GPS mouse works into how to update a standalone ....

I have an N73 and a Leadtek R9559X bluetooth GPS receiver. I run TomTom Nav 6 on the N73 and until a recent firmware update to the N73, all worked fine.
Last week I updated the firmware on the N73 from V 3.xxxx to Ver 4.0726.2.0.1, and now Tom Tom cannot...

If you are enclosed inside a steel cabin it is unlikely the GPS receiver can see any Satellite by placing a Bluetooth GPS receiver on higher deck within the range of your Notebook.

For GPS Module TX is 2.85 so you need to use a 2N2222 to make the level transition so when is 2.85.
