We have a new bathroom with a granite counter top. I have never had anything granite before. Can you tell me what you do/use to keep it clean and shiny? I don't want to ruin it! Thanks

Then for upkeep, clean with a granite....
I use granite cleaner on my bathroom countertops, and just plain.
It will make the granite cloudy.
Clean it regularly (I use some spray granite cleaner I like).
Seal it every couple years.

I have black granite worktops and was wondering what is the best cleaner to use on them. Does the normal cleaners discolour them over time? i was buying a special granite cleaner buts it a lot more expensive than the regular ones.
Anyone have any advice...

When I got my granite installed, the company I used said to only use soap and water and wipe dry.It sometimes seems like I have a cloudy film. One of the people I work with suggested 409 solid surface/granite...

It's also wrong to recommend sealing to a consumer, without knowing recommended the 409 Stone Care .
Dish soap is never a good idea for granite granite needs sealing twice a year.

Granite can be sealed though can't it? It's basically down to what you can afford mate.
It looks but the wife was.
granite is porous is it's biggest downfall! If you can afford the granite, go with it.
