Here Luta Livre is more popular than BJJ and on "no gi" competitions you have them fighting constantly, but most of the times on "beginners" and "intermediates" guys (1 year or 3 years training) what you have is Luta Livre winning most of the times. but...

But as they get better off there back they have the sweeps and subs to counter the top game with heavy wrestling .
Could be the wrestling emphasis of LL is catching the newer BJJ guys off guard and they don't have an answer from there back yet .
