Just like any grass it will grow back until a time..and not cut it out..but cut off the top.
But when I worked at Jamba Juice and we did the wheat grass, we threw it away lol.
Hmmmm I have no idea.

They also mow my oat grass I planted between the pavers.
It's bulbous oat grass.
It wasn't intentional, but I put it in a pot and the dogs keep it mowed .

Regardless, don't plant if the beans are not getting soil contact- you'll replant anyway.
But it is indeed a lesson on only killing as much cover as you can plant before rain.
