You could try Barenbrug or dlf But it's not a very good time of the year to be putting grass seed growing areas up and reducing grass seed production areas mean big hike in price.

SA can't be grown from seed and its not very dog hardy common, or go with some of the newer....
Two problems.
You can seed all I know about the area.
No grass is dog-proof, but bermuda is your best bet.
Especially with dog's.

If you can't get your grass....
They actually overseed the greens at golf courses with rye in the winter so they will stay green while the normal grass goes dormant for the winter.
Probably rye grass, loves cold weather and grows fast.

However, if you're just curious what will happen, I have laid sod directly onto existing grass over grass is a bad idea and the odds....
Chris said, removing the old grass so all new sod is on fresh topsoil is the correct way to do it.
Don't get excited I mean for a lawn. We have looked all over Udon and the only thing we can find is sod. We are talking a rai, so seed would be the way to go I believe. Any ideas?

A "keep off the grass" sign seed is planted the same time the grass seed is planted.
How Many Times Have You Planted Seeds--On Purpose? I would have to say over 100 times for me, but most of the time they don't make it to adulthood. My fave seeds are catnips. BQ: What are your fave seeds?

I'm looking for a mix to plant to add cover between two small sections of woods. It's several acres in size and sandy. The deer come in nearly every night at sunset and dark. I figure if I can give them more cover they may stay here in the day as well...
